‘Jazz at the Depot’
The Donavan/Muradian Quintet (formerly the Nairobi Trio) will be performing from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the eighth annual Depot Jazz Series in Claremont.
This outdoor music festival is held every Friday evening until Oct. 14 at the Claremont Depot Transit Station, located on 200 West First Street in Claremont. Admission is free.

‘Basquiat Retrospective’
The Museum of Contemporary Art is showcasing more than 100 paintings and drawings by the late Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The self-taught artist, who died of a drug overdose at 27 years old, gained critical acclaim in the 1980s and continues to do so posthumously.
Many of the works featured have never been seen before in Los Angeles. This exhibit will be featured until Oct. 10.
MOCA is located on 250 S. Grand Ave. in downtown Los Angeles. Museum admission for adults is $8, while student admission is $5.

‘Quartet at Caltech’
The six-time Grammy Award-winning Emerson String Quartet will be performing at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium. Time magazine has hailed the group as “American’s greatest quartet.” The program will include works by Mozart, Mendelssohn and Shostakovich.
Caltech is located on 332 S. Michigan Ave. in Pasadena. Admission ranges from $18 to $32, depending on seat choice, and youth tickets are $10. Parking is free.
